As you know, many changes have been made in the new revision of EN ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management Systems – Requirements for Organisations in the Food Chain Standard and according to this new version, all audits will be carried out as of 29 December 2021.
The most important of these changes are as follows:
Food Safety Management System Principles were added and the approach of establishing, managing and auditing the system in accordance with these principles in the implementation processes was introduced.
Process approach in Food Safety Management System is emphasised to take place more effectively in practice,
Risk Based Thinking approach has been added to the application. In particular, Enterprise Risk Management and Hazard Analysis-Operational Risk Management approach modelling was introduced.
Both Risk Based Thinking approaches “Activities to Address Risks and Opportunities” approach were added.
All “Planning Changes” to be made in the Food Safety Management System has been added.
In the Food Safety Management System, different approach applications were introduced within the scope of “Externally Developed Elements of the Food Safety Management System, “Control of Outsourced Processes, Products or Services”, “Analysis and Evaluation”, “Evaluation for Release” and “Disposal of Non-Conforming Product”.
In the Food Safety Management System, a new perspective was introduced in the article “Emergency Preparedness and Events”.
It brought a different approach to Hazard Analysis – Operational Risk Management and Critical Control Point (CCP) measures.
In the establishment, implementation and continuous improvement approach of the Food Safety Management System, “Internal and External Context of the Organisation” has brought an approach to the importance.
The standard items were increased to 10 headings with standard high standardisation modelling.
According to the new version, all audits will be carried out as of 29 December 2021.
